The Forgotten Pursuit of Using Your Hands
These days, we spend many waking hours moving our hands over a keyboard or touch screen. We spend much less time moving our hands in other ways—knitting a sweater, repotting a plant, building a shelf, refinishing a chair or even cooking a new dish. But working with our hands is good for us. It feels good to plunge into wool…dirt…dough…wood.
