Eat Clean Apples
Conventionally grown apples are contaminated with more pesticides than any other fruit, according to an Environmental Working Group report (www.EWG.org/foodnews). If you can’t buy organic apples, remove as much of the pesticide residue as possible. Spray fruit with white vinegar. Rub with a clean cloth and rinse well. Rinsing is better than peeling because the peel contains valuable fiber and nutrients.
